Meditation is the highest form of yoga practice. Meditation is a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state. It is the means for fathoming all the levels of ourselves and finally experiencing the center of consciousness within. The earliest records of meditation (dhyana) are found in the Vedas, and meditation exerts a salient role in the contemplative repertoire of Hinduism and Buddhism.

 

Meditation helps to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and pain, enhance peace, perception, self-concept, and well-being.
